Aside from portfolios and resume, having a college degree is part of the norm in the business world. Even from childhood, people are being taught that having a college degree would help them land their dream jobs.
While getting a bachelor's degree or even a masters degree or PhD is well and good, not everyone can afford a higher education. However, that is not a reason to despair and give up on looking for a respectable and high-paying jobs.
With just a high school diploma, there are plenty of jobs for people who are willing to go out of their comfort zone and try new things. Some of them would require a few months' worth of training, but that would still certainly be cheaper than college tuition.
Business Insider reported that optician, cardiovascular technologist, occupational therapy aide, massage therapist, physical therapist assistant, respiratory therapist, dental hygienist, web developer, diagnostic medical sonographer and occupational therapy assistant are just of the best jobs that do not require a bachelor's degree.
In addition to the beauty of not requiring a college degree, these jobs pay well too, with annual salary ranging from $30,000 to $60,000 annually. That is not a bad deal in exchange for a few months of training.
In addition, the need for these jobs is expected to increase in the coming years. This means that there will be job openings for future jobseekers who want to try any of these jobs.
In some jobs, your talent and skills in addition to good networking skills would be enough to help you succeed. Fashion designing and digital marketing are two areas that you can explore if you are leaning toward artistic or technical endeavor, University Herald reported. While looking for a job is never easy, it is best to be open to opportunities that present themselves as you look for your place in the world.
