Britney Haynes, a Big Brother housemate for two seasons, is now asking for prayers for her 2-month-old daughter, who she revealed was diagnosed with cancer, International Design Times reported Tuesday.
After giving birth to her daughter Tilly to her husband Nathan "Ryan" Goodwin just two months ago, Britney Haynes is now asking for prayers for her baby Tilly, after the little one was diagnosed of cancer.
"On September 1st, we were among the daily 720 sets of parents to be absolutely devastated with a Childhood Cancer diagnosis," Britney Haynes wrote on her Facebook page. "September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Please take the time to pray for all these children, our sweet baby included. We appreciate each and every one."
The reality show star also took the news to her Twitter account on September 14, confirming the devastating news on her daughter's diagnosis, although the type of cancer and possible prognosis remain to be unclear.
"Thank you for all of the thoughts, wishes, and prayers for my precious girl," Haynes wrote. "She's everything to me. #PrayForTilly."
Included in her tweet was a photo of her precious Tilly with a bow on her head, sleeping peacefully in a basket.
Big Brother fans, who heard the news, set up a fundraising page for the Britney's 2-month old daughter, and according to some reports, the GoGetFunding page for Tilly has raised more than $3,200 thus far.
Meanwhile, prior to the diagnosis of her daughter, Haynes reportedly tweeted messages conveying that Tilly has been experiencing some difficulties in sleeping, but it is still unclear whether the problem arose due to her condition.
"It's 2am and we are definitely driving around town trying to get this fussy baby to sleep. She has to sleep eventually, right??? #HelpMe" one of the tweets, Haynes wrote days before the diagnosis, read.
Haynes got married to her high school sweetheart, Godwin, in March 2012, and Tilly is their first and only child as of late.
Britney appeared on Big Brother seasons 12 and 14, and became a fan favorite since. She made it to the fourth place on Season 12, but was apparently evicted through an alliance by the all-male brigade.
Haynes returned as one of the Big Brother 15 contestant standouts for Season 14 alongside fellow alums Janelle Pierzina, Dan Gheesling, and Mike "Boogie" Malin. They came to the show as coaches but later turned into actual housemates for the said season. Britney got evicted in Week 7.
