Crocodile Under Bed: Massive 330-Pound Crocodile Hides Under Bed Unnoticed: Zimbabwean Sleeps For 8 Hours Unaware Of Beastly Predator? [VIDEO & REPORT]

A massive 330-pound crocodile was found hidden under a man's bed in Zimbabwe, Huffington Post reported Wednesday.

A 330-pound giant sneaked into the Humani Ranch, Zimbabwe and spent an entire night lying unknowingly under the bed of a blissfully sleeping Guy Whittall.

Reports stated that the Nile crocodile had stayed hidden under the bed for more than eight hours because 40-year-old Whittall was blissfully sleeping.

The next day, the former Zimbabwean cricketer even perched on the edge of his bed with his feet just a few inches from the crocodile's mouth. He remained oblivious of the beast's presence until he heard a scream from a housemaid while he was busy munching some breakfast treats in the kitchen.

Daily mail reported that Whittall, who is also the director of the Humani Ranch, dashed to his room to find out why the housemaid screamed, and he was then horrified after seeing the giant still nestled under his bed.

"The really disconcerting thing about the whole episode is the fact that I was sitting on the edge of the bed that morning, barefoot and just centimeters away from the croc," Whittall said in an interview, according to The Telegraph.

Whittall added that crocodiles are experts at hiding, noting that this is perhaps the reason why they have survived on Earth for so long and perhaps the same reason why they are referred to as the ultimate killers in water.

Animal control workers were called in to help remove the massive crocodile under the bed.

According to some reports, the team roped and dragged the 8-foot monster, which was believed to have come from the Turgwe River, a mile from the ranch, and was then freed back into Humani's Chigwidi dam.

"Catching and securing a croc of any size on land, though, is a fairly straightforward affair and we are experienced in that," Whittall said. "The most important thing is to get its snout roped and secured, and then it's just a matter of restraining it and covering its eyes, to calm it down."

"I just remember thinking, goodness gracious, that's one for the books," he said. "I'm pretty sure everyone in Humani checks under their bed before going to sleep now anyway."
