For many young professionals, Google is the holy grail of companies due to its work culture and amazing perks. However, only the best of the best get to work for the company, and it has been said that it’s harder to get into Google than to gain admission at Harvard.
According to a report prepared by Staff.com (via Forbes), only 1 in 130 applicants get a job at Google compared with 1 in 14 high school students applying to Harvard. This is because very few people get to pass with flying colors through Google’s interview process, which could take an average of 37 days to complete.
However, there are other companies in the country that offer the same culture and perks, and the good news is that all of these companies are hiring at the moment. The Muse compiled a list of companies that are as great as the search engine company, and here are some of those organizations, including the open positions that they have available.
Philips
The Dutch technology company is not just known for its lighting and tech products, but it is also making advancements in the health-technology space. According to employee reviews on Glassdoor, Philips has a great employee culture and the company gives importance to work-life balance. Meanwhile, an Indeed reviewer said that the company is “people oriented” and that there is plenty of potential for career growth.
