Gareth Bale injured his thigh during a pre-match warm-up just days before his Real Madrid home debut against Atletico Madrid following his record-breaking move of 85m from Tottenham over the summer.
Madrid's Bale was to make his Bernabeu bow against Getafe on Sunday, but the Wales International was forced to skip the Primera Division and was pulled out of the starting XI after obtaining a thigh injury during the pre-match warm-up.
Madrid tweeted after the incident that Isco would be replacing Bale just minutes before the Real's 4-1 win began.
Gareth is scheduled to have his injury scanned Monday.
"Fatigue in the left thigh muscle was found. It will be treated," Real said.
BBC reported that Bale will most likely miss Wednesday's La Liga trip to Elche as well
Meanwhile, Real coach Carlo Ancelotti said that he is still hoping that 24-year-old Bale would recover fast enough and become fit to play on Saturday's El Derbi Madrileno against Atletico.
"It is difficult to recover in three days, I am sure he will be ready for the game on Saturday," said Ancelotti following the team's triumph over Getafe. "He had a small problem and we hope it is resolved quickly."
Gareth made his Madrid debut in the 2-2 draw at Villarreal last weekend, penetrating the scoresheet in the process, according to the Independent. Bale also came on as a substitute in the 6-1 thrashing of Galatasaray in the mid-week Champions League.
The Real Madrid player was however forced to watch midfielders Angel Lafita's move to make a shocking fourth-minute lead in favor of Getafe.
Apparently, Real Madrid managed to level within the next quarter of an hour through Portuguese defender Pepe's effort in a close range prior to Cristiano Ronaldo's gesture of converting a 33rd-minute penalty ahead of the break.
Bale's substitute Isco scored a goal, his fifth after his 23m move from Malaga, putting Real 3-1 ahead before the final hour.
After defender Michel received a late red card after towing down Real Jese Rodriguez, Getafe was reduced to 10, in time of Ronaldo's second net with a impertinent backheel in injury time.
Madrid has moved third in La Liga with 13 points from five games and two behind the leading Barcelona and Atletico, who managed to obtain perfects stats on Saturday, according to BBC.
Cristiano Ronald's brace against Getafe lands him a total of 208 goals under Real Madrid in 205 games. Ronaldo is currently fifth in Los Blanco's all-time goal-scoring players chart.
