Emmy On Top Of the Television Rating After Eight Years

New York- The recent Emmy award brought them back on top, after gathering majority of the viewer last Sunday night. The survey was conducted by The Nielsen Co. who states that Emmy owned almost one third of the audience that night, with almost 17.6 million viewers as it was aired for 3 hours in CBS channel.

Compare to its 13.3 million viewers last year, audience find it reasonable to watch Emmy this year which put the show on top after eight years. Emmy was considered to be the "largest audience" for an award giving show since 2005.

The said show was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, which was on its 65th year. It was added that Harris was personally chosen by the Emmy organizer for his enthusiastic and charismatic aura which eventually contributed to the liveliness of the show.

According to some analyst, Sunday shows are really a must watch one, especially that most of the football telecast such as NFL football is aired on a Sunday night, and majority assumed that Emmy on a Sunday is a good choice for a timeslot.

Including on the list of awardees were Breaking Bad (AMC) as the best drama series, Modern Family Series (ABC) for best comedy series, Behind the Camera (HBO) for best miniseries/Movie.

Artist who won includes Jeff Daniels for the best actor for his act on The News Room (HBO), Jim Parsons won for best lead actor for the comedy series "Big Bang Theory", Julia Louis- Dreyfus for Lead Actress in a comedy show "Veep".

HBO on the other hand gathered almost 27 trophies, which make them won as the leading cable company of the year.

Emmy Awards gather positive feedback in the social media, and became an instant trending topic.
