Dumb and Dumber 2: Jeff Daniels From 'Newsroom', Laurie Holden From 'The Walking Dead' Begins Shoot in Atlanta for 'Dumb And Dumber To' [VIDEO]

Dumb and Dumber fans get ready, because the much anticipated sequel has started shooting this week, despite many previous setbacks.

Actor Jeff Daniels, who plays one of the infamous friends, has promised that the script for the sequel, aptly titled Dumb and Dumber To, has topped that of the original.

Daniels is fresh off an Emmy award win for his performance as Will MacAvoy on hit drama TV series, The Newsroom. The actor was only too happy to tell reporters after his win that after a bout of partying, he was planning to head down to Atlanta to start shooting the sequel.

When reporters asked him what the scariest and best parts of working on the sequel were, the actor revealed that they may have come up with something that will even top the legendary toilet scene from the first movie. Of course, he mentioned that he couldn't exactly say what that was, which may be code for us to definitely head out to the movie theaters and watch what exactly happens on Dumb and Dumber To.

Jeff Daniels was also all praise for his co-star Jim Carrey. He referred to Carrey as a "comedic genius". Jim Carrey plays Harry Dunn in the movie, opposite to Jeff's character Lloyd Christmas.

Dumb and Dumber 2 welcomes both new and old cast members. Laurie Holden of Walking Dead fame will appear in the movie, as will Brady Bluhm, the guy that played the blind boy who was sold a dead bird in the first movie. As for music, Empire of the Sun have been asked to come on board to produce music for the Dumb and Dumber sequel. Dumb and Dumber To will be directed by brothers Bobby and Peter Farrelly and is expected to be released sometime next year.
