Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian Talk As 4th Wedding Anniversary Looms Near

Lamar Odom has recently broken his public silence on the state of his health, and marriage, but people aren't done talking about him yet.

The basketball star will soon celebrate his 4th wedding anniversary with wife Khloe Kardashian. The couple has said to have stayed in contact while Lamar has been dealing with a whole range of issues, including a recent DUI arrest.

In a recent twitter post, Lamar allegedly had not so nice things to say about his estranged father Joe, and called him out for disrespecting the "ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return". Reports say that when news of his tweet reached the Kardashians, they found it to be very promising, not to mention emotional. Sources say that the family is hopeful that the basketball player is finally on the road to recovery, and is on the right track.

Lamar Odom has allegedly battled substance abuse issues for a long time. Sources continued to say that after the DUI incident, the family was hopeful that that would be the wake-up call that they were hoping for Lamar. The ball player came away with one count of misdemeanor for driving under the influence.

Lamar Odom had plenty of things to say about his father in his recent tweet. Lamar Odom recounted how the man had not really been there for his childhood, and reiterated the fact that it was his grandmother and mother who really raised him. Lamar's father also has a history of substance abuse, which may be what Lamar was referring to when he said that his dad was "absent all his life due to his own demons".

There has been no official statement from Khloe Kardashian about the "breakthrough". However, she was supposedly "very upset" last week and has decided to stop all sorts of interventions for Lamar.
