Harris has internalized this lesson, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and leveraging strengths, regardless of how unconventional they may seem.
Harris refers to this approach as the David Bowie principle, inspired by Bowie's evolution in embracing his uniqueness. It was only with his Space Oddity record that Bowie relinquished the notion of conforming to conventional success and instead embraced the peculiarities that brought him joy.
Harris still values this lesson, recognizing its value in leading with authenticity and leveraging personal strengths, regardless of how unconventional they may appear.

They recognize that when meeting someone new, there is uncertainty about future encounters, whether it is a continued presence in their life or bumping into them decades later when you most need them.
3. Highly-Intelligent People are Driven by Curiosity
The most emotionally intelligent individuals exhibit deep empathy and curiosity. They understand the significance of transcending their viewpoint and considering all perspectives.
When they inquire about someone's profession, they delve further, genuinely interested in understanding the motivations behind it and the aspects that bring fulfillment and challenge to the individual.
Attentively listen to those around you without passing judgment. When someone confides in you about a challenge, reciprocate by sharing one of your own. Engaging with others openly fosters honesty and a willingness to provide support when needed.
