The recent report is undeniably shocking as it says that kids do not like Facebook anymore. But instead, kids would prefer other social networking site such as Instagram, Tumblr, and SnapChat over Facebook. "I no longer use Facebook, as my mom and dad sneak to my account to monitor me", Patricia, 12 year old, Facebook user.
According to the survey, there are 8 reasons why teenager or today chose not to deactivate or refuse to create an account.
"First and foremost, almost everybody has a Facebook account, including mom and dad", Teresita Cruz, highschool teacher said. With the parents having an account now makes the children frighten, as the parents will surely monitor their activities through their status.
Aside from parent's being able to monitor their kids through Facebook, teenagers are also afraid that their parents might humiliate them by giving unfavorable comments.
Humiliation is not just a factor, but also, you will be called out for posting cheesy and cryptic messages, which most of the teenagers find it annoying to the privacy.
It may sound funny but, when your friend post a dirty joke on your wall, the tendency is that, you parent's will repost or share it, hence, it become their status.
As "selfie pictures" are in today, most of the parents do silly selfie pictures which the kids find it hilarious.
Selfie thing is not the only thing that makes the kids say no to Facebook, but also, the tendency that their moms make fun of their photos is high.
Seventh reason as to why kids do not prefer Facebook anymore is that, kids fail to attract or flirt to the person they like in Facebook, as their parents is just around online.
And last but not the least; your status might just disappoint the family.
