HP Unveils 3 Business Laptops, 2 Ultrabooks For The Holidays; All At Affordable Prices

After introducing new consumer laptops two weeks ago, HP is now up for another surprise this holiday season as it officially unveiled five corporate notebooks, with two of which qualifying as Ultrabooks. And the best part about these new offerings is  they are on a more affordable price range.

Meet The EliteBooks

Included in its newly-introduced laptops are the high-end EliteBooks: the 12-incher HP 820, the 14-incher HP 840, and the 15-incher HP 850. As new additions to the EliteBook line, these three sport the same MIL-SPEC-810G standards, but are said to be 40 percent thinner and 28 percent lighter than their predecessors. They will come in magnesium lids, coated at least four times of paint to hamper unavoidable scratches. The new ElitBook installments will have aluminum keyboard decks with backlit keys for a more premium feel.

The new HP EliteBook laptops takes pride on their 12-hour battery life, except for the 14-incher which comes with an optional slice battery that boosts its battery life to a total of 33 hours. All three run Haswell processors. Interestingly, the HP 840 and HP 850 models can be classified as Ultrabooks in terms of specs and inside features. Pricing for the three is at $859 for the 820, $799 for the 840, and $939 for the 850. Moreover, the 14-incher will come with a $949 touchscreen version.

ProBook Line 2 New Additions

For its ProBook line, HP has introduced two improved models, which although slightly lower-end compared to the other offerings can still make the cut when it comes to small businesses. HP's new ProBook laptops are the 14-incher ProBook 640 and the 15-incher ProBook 650. What's good about these laptops is the fact that although they may be qualified as lower-end in terms of specs, they still have that premium hardware and competitive software and features. Both come with aluminum keyboards the EliteBook models sport, but will not have magnesium lids. However, HP announced that these two will arrive toward the end of November as opposed to the others that will hit the market this month starting at $699.

More specification details on these new laptops will be made available on this site once HP has released pertinent information.
