Elizabeth Olsen Joins The Avengers: Age Of Ultron Cast, Samuel L. Jackson Reveals

Elizabeth Olsen will play as Scarlet Witch in The Avengers: Age of Ultron set for release in 2015. This is what Samuel L. Jackson a.k.a Nicky Fury revealed in an interview with Wall Street Journal.

"I don't think we begin shooting before March of next year. I know we're shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. [Elizabeth] Olsen, but I don't know what she's doing, if she's on the inside or the outside. I haven't seen a script."

Rumors of Elizabeth Olsen, the younger sister of fashion designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, surfaced in August. As Scarlet Witch, she is expected to cast spells and charms for a living. There were also reports that the first choice for the role was Saoirse Ronan, but the actress was quick to shoot it down.

During the Iron Man 3 Premier, director Joss Whedon revealed of a brother and sister act in the much-awaited installment of the blockbuster The Avengers, which earned more than $1.5 billion in worldwide box office.

Other reports mention of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kickass himself, to play Quicksilver - Scarlet Witch's brother. Either Marvel or Jackson gave no confirmation about this casting rumor. They are set to commence filming for the The Avengers: Age of Ultron March of next year.

In Stan Lee's Marvel Comics, Scarlet Witch first appeared in X-Men as the daughter of the super villain Magneto, and the twin sister of Quicksilver. She's also the half paternal sister of Polaris. Both Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

Elizabeth Olsen will join a stellar cast of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, James Spader and of course, Samuel L. Jackson.

Elizabeth Olsen is a 24-year old American actress who received accolades for her character in Martha Marcy May Marlene. She appeared nude in this 2011 film. Olsen also starred in Silent House and Liberal Arts. She was nominated for the Fast Rising Star Award by BAFTA earlier this year.
