Mike Will received a lot of phone calls after he released the music video for "23", which featured Miley Cyrus , Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa. The music video had a very Jordan-inspired theme if we were to base it the jerseys, as well as the colors that everyone in the video was wearing.
What Mike Will didn't expect was to get a phone call from "his airness", Michael Jordan himself! Mike Will shared with MTV news a few details about the phone call. Apparently, Jordan saw and video and liked it. In his phone call with Will, Jordan was quoted as saying " 'Man I like the video. 'Thanks a lot.' ".
The video basically revolves around Mike Wills and his group taking over what looks to be a high school gym. There are shots of the whole crew smoking in the bathroom, clad in some very rare Air Jordan basketball shoes. Mike Will, partnering with Hannah Lux, directed the video. The single was released last month.
As previously mentioned, Miley Cyrus also makes an appearance in the video. She appears in a sort of bikini dress that seems to have been created from some Michael Jordan basketball jerseys. She also sports the matching sneakers. Miley is seen wearing a pair of Wolf Grey Air Jordan 5s as well as some Fire Red 3s. Rapper Juicy J has some Grape Air Jordan 5s on, as well as some Air Jordan 7s in Olympic colors. Michael Jordan wore the same sneakers when he helped bring home the gold medal from the 1992 Olympics.
Mike Wills has mentioned that it was important for him to get very clear shots of the sneakers in the video. He was also wearing a pair of Defining Moments Air Jordans 11, a limited version of the sneakers that Jordon wore when he bagged his 4th championship title.
