Three scientist found a shocking alien like species in California and British Columbia. They called the unusual clam species as "Waldo", which was previously known in children book.
The first discussion about the clam like creature began in 1989, as two scientist Paul Valentich from Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History and Diarmond O Foighil from University of Michigan discovered a strange specimen in coast of Morro Bay California.
According to their statement twenty four years ago, they said that both of them were discussing about clams during the break. As they were talking about clams, the lights went off and saw the unnatural species from 1,000 miles apart.
The two was amaze with what they saw, which they described as an animal with a thin, translucent shell, which has a "willowy" tentacles. They added that, as they were dissecting a sea urchin for their study, they are again fascinated for seeing the same "unfamiliar clamp" that crawls all over the sea urchins body.
From that say on, they started their research about the said creature. "We are hungry to know more facts about our new discovery, as we consider it as something that is new in the scientific world", Valentich said.
As the research gets intense and difficult, the two find rescue in Jingchun Li, a DNA clam expert from University of Michigan. "He rescued us from our dilemma, as we are having a hard time identifying the origin of the species".
After two decades of studies and experimentation, they have finally found out that the said "unusual species" is genetically related to the South Atlantic Ocean off Argentina clamp species.
They added that the peculiar animal with no backbone is an ironic species, which they called as "waldo".
