Kim Kardashian might be getting her pre-baby body back, but she won't be getting a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
Even if Kim's famous rapper boyfriend, Kanye West, publicly pleaded for the reality star to have her name on the famous Hollywood attraction during his guesting at Jimmy Kimmel live, it does not erase the fact that Kim is technically not an actress. Anna Martinez, spokesperson for the Hollywood Walk of Fame, pointed this out in a statement as reported by Fox News.
"We don't have a category for reality stars on the Walk of Fame. They're not giving a performance, it's just them going through their daily lives and rituals on TV," said Martinez in the statement.
It might serve as a "reality" check for the TV star, who mercilessly gains fame and attention through her E! Channel reality show, 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians.' Before the show aired, Kim splashed a big debut in the spotlight by releasing a sex tape starring herself and Brandy's brother, Ray J. It's pretty obvoius that being famous for a sex tape wouldn't push the panel of the Hollywood Walk of Fame to present Kim her very own star.
"We honor people who've acted in or directed or produced an award-winning show or film. And it's the same with music, people who maybe have gold records," reiterated Martinez in the same statement.
Kanye West is known for being unapologetic for his statements, especially when it involves his opinions on varying matters. He has been the subject of many controversies that range from feuds, libel, and interrupting Taylor Swift onstage when she won an MTV Video Music Award.
"They said something about they're not gonna put my girl on the Walk of Fame because she's a reality star. It's like, people are so, so dated and not modern. It's like, there's no way a Kim Kardashian shouldn't have a star on the Walk of Fame. It's ridiculous" said West during his interview with Jimmy Kimmel.
Martinez further stated that asking for a Hollyood Walk of Fame Star in national TV is not the smartest move out of West's trick box. It just shows how the pair loves attention, and they are surely getting it, of course, without the recognition they truly want.
"I understand that Kanye loves his girlfriend, but that's not the way to go about getting a star - on national TV without checking into whether or not she qualifies, which she does not," claimed the spokesperson.
