The singer was kicked out of a sacred mosque after shamelessly posing for photos inside Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque's premises.
Has Rihanna any human values at all?
The risqué singer has caused another wave of trouble for locals, and this time, for the religious ones. After her concert in Abu Dhabi, Rihanna took the time to pose "seductively" in parts of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which the locals found disrespectful and inappropriate. It has been reported that the "Umbrella" singer was kicked out of the mosque due to this unbecoming behavior.
"She left without entering the mosque, after being asked to do so, due to the fact that she had taken some pictures that do not conform with the conditions and regulations put in place by the Centre's management to regulate visits in a way that takes the status and sanctity of the mosque into consideration," said a representative of the grand mosque, as reported by NY Daily News.
The spokesperson added that Rihanna went on to partake in the impromptu photo shoot without introducing herself and without coordinating with the right people inside the mosque.Rihanna then posted the photos in her Instagram account for all her followers to see.
Rihanna wore an all black outfit with head scarf, mimicking the mosque, and even captioned "B*tch stole my look" in one of her photos that showed female passers-by. The singer received a ton of backlash because of this action, with concerned individuals using social media to express their rage.
"Usually I wouldn't mind 'some' controversy but this - IMHO - is just like saying 'I don't care about your religion and I do what I want to'. Silly, offensive and very disrespectful to those who have their faith on whatever they believe.. I like Rihanna but this was in poor taste of her," said one user, Renata Machado in one of Buzzfeed's posts about the issue.
In her previous visit to Thailand, Rihanna's social media acts has led to two separate arrests, one for an illegal sex show and another after she posted a photo with an endangered species, the Slow Loris.
