The reality star has revealed that she would gladly take "West" as her last name after she gets married to Grammy-winning singer and rapper, Kanye West.
The latest scoop on the Kim Kardashian-Kanye West love saga is in: Kim wants to bear West's name proud after the two of them get married someday. Just last week, Kim was thrilled by a lavish proposal surprise from Kanye in San Francsisco's AT&T ball park.
Kim spoke to E! News about her engagement during her birthday party held in Tao bar in Las Vegas. The star claims she "had no idea" about the surprise and was absolutely shocked about the huge ring her famous boyfriend and "baby daddy" presented to her.
"I cried afterwards. I was shaking. And when you're like, 'Is this really happening?' But you're just shaking... I honestly had no idea, none whatsoever," said Kardashian, as reported by Ace Showbiz. Kanye sought the help of Stanlee Gatti, a high profile event organizer to whip up the elaborate surprise. Gatti revealed that he put together the said proposal for Kim's birthday, including a 50-piece orchestra, just two days before Kanye popped the question with a 15-karat Lorraine Schwartz ring.
"My eyes were closed and then I got up and I still the whole time I didn't think it was a proposal. I thought it was dinner on the baseball field and we had a nice orchestra. I still didn't get it... when he got on his knee, I kind of figured out what was going on," added the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star in the same interview.
The Grammy award-winning rapper has expressed his delight on being able to finally get engaged. In an interview with Big Boy, Kanye said that he had to practice patience in order to finally nab the girl of her dreams.
"I wanted to marry that girl from the first time I saw her. I just had to wait through a bunch of relationships to finally get my chance... It's just patience. You know with certain things, you're like, 'Yo, this is what's right for me, and this is what I should be doing."
