Separation of church and state can be a slippery slope, particularly when it is being used to further entrench the party lines. But in a speech made by Kentucky Senator Paul Rand, not only is President Obama turning a blind eye to what Rand calls the global persecution of Christians, but the president is actually aiding it.
In Rand's speech to the Values Voter Summit, Islamic fanatics are waging a war on christianity. It is probale that the war Rand is reffering dates back all the way to the crusades. So his claims that this is not a little war and it is not going away would be an understatement, since the two religions have been clashing since 1095. Islam is thought to have formed some where around 610, so within four hundred years of it's formation it was in conflict with Christianity another newer religion, as it came into power in the fourth century.
Paul who has never claimed history to be his strong point, claims that this war on christianity harkens back to times such as the Middle Ages or when christians lived under early pagan Roman rule. Paul proudly state that his record speaks for itself and he has tried to stop aid to p where he Egypt , the nation Paul claims is facilitating the war on Christianity. Paul claims to have forced the Senate to vote on defunding the Muslim Brotherhood, but every Democrat voted to continue sending tax money to the Muslim Brotherhood. Paul vowed as long s he is in the Senate, to fight against sending money to the Muslim brotherhood.
Obama who is plagued by the faulty Obamacare website, did not comment on Rand's accusations, neither confirming or denying them. This does coincide with the impending trial of Former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi's Monday November 4th, which is also Valentine's day in Egypt. It is said the trail will confirm President Barack Obama's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Rands rant did no key in on this but instead focused on that fact that President Obama sends arms to Islamic rebels in Syria. Yet the Egyptian, the mob that attacked the American embassy burned the american flag, so Rand doesn't want to send another penny to a country that burns our flag, but did not explain how this relates to Christianity. It seems the burning of the American flag while no a patriotic gesture would not be an anti- christian gesture such as the Church burning trend that flashed through Norway in the early 90's .
