Google Glass Has Plenty of Kinks to Fix, Before Going Public

Google's new wearable e-device the Glass, is living up to sounding futuristic to be be true. According to beta testers of the product it's loaded with knicks and glitches, prompting the company to refrain from announcing even a speculated release date for it, after they had originally said sometime next year before the beta process began. The current ten thousand testers had to pay fifteen hundred dollars to road test the wearable tech and can invite three of their friends to do the same. Which will in turn triple the number of beta testers , Google calls explorers.

While the Glass can be worn with shades or glasses, users who have done so report it being an awkward fit. Despite the geekish design , which looks like something from a late eighties science fiction movie, the Glass is capable of projecting high resolution images and responds to voice commands allowing you to take picture or video, text message, check email and use both google maps and search.

This is already a step ahead of the next tech trend of smart watches, which are like James Bondish iPhones, though unlike smart watches if you wear Google Glass while driving you will get a tickets. One California woman already learned this and took a picture with her Glass to document the fact she made history for being the first person tickets for wearing wearable tech.So while the distracted driving laws which vary from state to state, with offenses ranging from texting to watching television, apply to Glass according to the state of California.

The woman in question said her Glass , was not turned on, while the ticketing officer said it was blocking her view , despite the fact the device sits just above the eye. It it's facts about the product Google did included a disclaimer warning of the distracted driving laws. No speculation yet if users feel they might prefer the more covert use of their iPhone over the blatant wearing of Glass.

Google is going to begin swapping for an improved model this week that comes with earbuds to replace the speakers in the older version. s the old bone conduction speakers , were the most complained about element of the old design. Google has not yet commented if the new design will be more compatible with glasses and lose the Star Trek: the Next Generation feel they currently have.
