Now the two are going to play detective in this mystery, knowing that a dark element must be behind the disappearances. But Dean and Castiel will be investigating without Sam knowing since Ezekiel gave an ultimatum in "I'm No Angel" that Cas needs to leave the bunker or he will be leaving Sam's body. So Dean decides to choose the former to spare his brother's chances of healing and living, but this does not mean that his friendship with Cas is over.
