HTC One Vs. LG G2 Comparison Review: Specs, Features & More!

The holiday season is fast-approaching, the smartphone market is becoming more crammed than the usual with all the last-minute releases of several companies. However, the LG G2 and the HTC One are undeniably still belonging to the trendiest smartphone devices as of the moment. And whether the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or Apple's iPhone 5S are basking under the rays of skyrocketing sales these two Android devices unwaveringly get the attention of people, who are probably ending their contract this year or simply getting rid of their so-yesterday devices. So without further ado, let us take a look at the specs, features and the other things that make the HTC One a better pick than the LG G2 and vice versa.

HTC One over LG G2

With the rising trend of plastic-clad phones, it is worth mentioning that HTC is still keeping its aluminium material for its smartphones. And the HTC One is no exception. Unlike the LG G2, which despite having that beautifully crafted plastic case to it, the HTC One has higher-quality finish because of its all-aluminium body, giving it a more premium feel.

If you are not a fan of the non-expandable memory smartphones, these two Android devices obviously make the cut. However, we just want to say that the HTC One has better storage options than the G2 since it comes with 32/64 GB storage as opposed to LG G2's 16/32 GB models.

Another thing that sets the two apart is the quality of sound they are capable of producing. All thanks to HTC's technology of front-mounted stereo speakers, the HTC One is capable of giving an impressive sound output.

LG G2 over HTC One

Undeniably, the LG G2 has made a lot of noise because of its close-to-invisible bezel despite of its 5.2" display. Although HTC One's 4.7" inch display also has a slightly thinner bezel compared with other recently-launched smartphones, the G2's mark in the thin bezel market is just unremarkable since it does not only add a few perks to its aesthetics but also eliminate the extra weight a thick bezel could have added to its overall build.

Now the thing with having a much thinner bezel is of course the possibly smaller body and LG G2 proves just that. Having an almost exactly similar sized body, the LG G2 packs a much bigger screen. It's just a matter of preference whether one chooses one over the other in terms of screen size since both actually sports 1080p resolution.

Performance-wise, we are giving credit to the LG G2 since it is quite obvious that having a Snapdragon 800 means a having a much faster device compared to G2's Snapdragon 600. Benchmarks can back this fact if you are still in doubt.

Finally, another thing that gives the LG G2 an advantage over the HTC One is the bigger battery it flaunts. While both devices have non-removable backs (to the disappointment of replaceable battery fans), the LG G2's 3,000mAh battery beats the HTC One's 2,300mAh. For better clarification on this one, GSM Arena reports that the LG G2 has an endurance rating of 62 hours while the HTC One was only playing at 48 hours.
