Last week's Reign episode 4 "Hearts and Minds" was very tricky with Queen Catherine (Megan Follows) speaking her mind before Queen Mary (Adelaide Kane). The encounter was obviously pretty tense, but somehow we can give our sympathy to Catherine given the terrible prophecy Nostradamus has told her about the impending doom of her son. Then, we also saw some action in the woods when Mary, Francis, and Sebastian went searching for Tomas (Manolo Cardona), only to end their endeavor in a bloody fight. This week's Reign episode 5 "A Chill in the Air" will surely provide us with another reason to get hooked with the show as the cast and characters welcome the return of Francis's ex-lover, Olivia (Yael Grobglas). And it seems that Queen Mary wouldn't be pleased with the resurfacing of Francis's (Toby Regbo) ex-girlfriend in the palace. In a sneak peek to Reign season 1 episode 5 "A Chill in the Air" we can see that Mary is curious on the resurfacing of Francis' ex-girlfriend in the palace. Good thing she has Bash (Torrance Coombs) to keep her company and to answer all of her questions about Olivia. Unfortunately, it seems that the preview is hinting more trouble for Mary's royal engagement. A part of the clip shows Francis and Olivia leaning forward against each other and sealing their conversation with a kiss. And this could not mean a good thing for Francis and Mary. Meanwhile, actress Megan Follows recently opened up about her character, Queen Catherine, this week to Zap2It. When asked about her wicked character and if she likes portraying Catherine, she answers, "I like it. It depends on your definition of wicked. She's a great part. She's powerful, and often when women are in powerful positions, they're called "wicked." She has to do a lot of surviving and negotiating to maintain her position." Then, when she was asked if the show is following the historical timeline for Francis and Mary and the fact that Francis has to die sooner than expected, Follows simply said, "He's long for the show but not long for the world."
