For the first time in Fox series history, the entertainment company will syndicate and stream on anywhere but network television all 24 seasons of The Simpsons.
In one of television's biggest syndication deals, the popular "The Simpsons" show will be moving to cable television staying in the Fox family companies with the cable network FXX.
More than 550 episodes from the 24 seasons of shows completed by now, will be airing in August 2014 as the 25th season, currently in production, will be available one month later.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the value of the deal probably reached $900 million.
The rights include video-on-demand and streaming rights making "The Simpsons" available to be streamed online by FXNOW, a mobile app that FX Networks is planning to launch soon.
