American Horror Story's Jessica Lange is all set to leave the hit show after its already confirmed Season 4.
After playing lead for the hit FX series for three seasons (with Season 3 "Coven" still on-going), Lange has finally opened up about her rumored exit from American Horror Story after its fourth season.
Lange recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly and dished about her decision to leave the FX anthology that even bagged her an Emmy last 2012
"It ends up being a lot of time during the year being committed to something," Lange said. "I haven't done that for a long time. It's like doing a stage play between the rehearsal and the run. This is a six-month commitment every year. That will be four years in a row. I want to have more time to myself I guess."
The actress added, "Once it's over and I have a full year ahead of me with nothing to do, who knows? It might not have been the best decision. But I think four years doing something is a sufficient amount of time."
According to Yahoo News! show creator Ryan Murphy has already accepted Lange's farewell decision and he has revealed that for the actresses' final lead in the fourth season of American Horror Story, she is having a "great, juicy part."
Show fans who stumbled upon the news commented on the great loss they will feel once Lange leaves the hit series.
One of the comments is from Melissa and she wrote, "Oh no!! I love her in these series!! She is the best part of all of them!! She is the most wonderful actress ever!! You will be missed. Won't be the same without her..."
Meanwhile, another fan that goes by the name "Commenter" wrote, "A consummate actress with a lustrous career. I have been following her work since her first role in King Kong in 1976, with which she made a big splash, and from then on she has been nothing but remarkable all the way through the years. Unparalleled beauty and unique talent, She certainly will be missed! She is terrific!"
Jessica Lange is currently playing Fiona Goode, the devious Supreme Witch of this season's American Horror Story Season 3 "Coven."
