Based on the top 7 highest paying jobs of today, we can say that all of them belong to the medical field, with the anesthesiologists taking the lead. This does not come as a surprise though given the time and effort these individuals invest in education and malpractice insurance.
"Anesthesiologists are highly satisfied with their important work in and outside of the operating room," an American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) spokesperson told Forbes. "It is very rewarding for anesthesiologists to be able to bring patients in and out of surgery safely."
Meanwhile, the ASA noted that the high pay anesthesiologists receive reflects the responsibility and risk involved in their profession.
