The holiday season is getting near and it's obviously time for most of us to change our smartphones if not make the big switch. We have reviewed most of not all of the newly released smartphones, and came up with our best top 10 picks for this season. 2013 is almost over, so why not buy the best smartphone to start anew come 2014? Anyway, here our out top 10 best smartphones for the holiday season.
1. At number 10 is the HTC One X+. Obviously this one is a more polished and improved version of the One X. The newer Android version alongside the significantly increased battery life are the most impressive features of this device. Moreover, it isn't as pricy as some of the latest gadgets out there.
2. The iPhone 5c came in 9th. It is not as high-end as its brother, but the 5C sports perks and many features that make it an interesting smartphone. The plastic build isn't actually a good thing for loyal Apple fans, but it will do for those who are planning to make the big switch. The colorful back covers give it a playful feel. One must note however that this phone is not as cheap as many expected it to be.
3. Samsung's Galaxy S4 snatches the 8th spot with its remarkable hardware and performance. The only problem we found in this smartphone is the build quality which is not really reasonable given the cost of the handset.
4. If you are a Sony fan, then you should consider the Xperia Z, which is our top 7th smartphone for this list. Sony simply nailed it when it comes to creating a stylistic yet very outgoing build. Not only that, the powerful hardware and software give it an excellent mark. Plus, the cameras in this device simply outshine those of other smartphones in the market today.
5.Just ahead by a number is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which is our top 6th pick for this top 10 best smartphones list. The extra features in this phablet can easily blow you away. This is just a high-quality smartphone that comes with a stunning screen display and quite stylish faux leather back cover. Plus, the S Pen features really speak volumes.
6. On fifth place is HTC One. This superb device has excellent build quality. The camera isn't that impressive in certain circumstances, but the interface and superb features outweigh this easily.
7. The top 4 handset for this holiday season is Apple's iPhone 5S. Yes, it is only our top 4th pick because it is simply an upgrade of the 5. The best feats of this smartphone are the fingerprint scanner and the powerful processor it sports.
8. Sony Xperia Z1 is our third pick given its more powerful build compared to that of the Xperia Z's. Specification-wise and price tag-wise, this device is certainly a winner.
9. Google's newest Nexus, the Nexus 5 is in many ways than one the most practical smartphone out there. Its specifications and features are definitely more than what you pay for. It's not just an upgrade device to the Nexus 4, but it's like a completely different smartphone when its build, hardware, software, and OS are considered.
10. Finally, which device is our top pick for this year? It's LG's revolutionary G2. We don't really need to discuss in length how unrivalled this smartphone is. It's pretty obvious that the specifications and the impressive compact design, software features, and its light build account for the makings of the best smartphone for this holiday season.
