UFC Fighter Dies: Shane del Rosario Suffers Cardiac Arrest; Left with No Brain Activity [VIDEO & REPORT]

Reports are circulating that UFC newcomer Shane del Rosario passed away last Thursday with conflicting announcements from reporters and UFC officials. In truth, the fighter is still currently on life support after being rushed to Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian Tuesday morning. The most recent news does confirm, however, that there is little to no brain activity being registered. Whether or not this UFC fighter dies in the next few days is up to del Rosario's family and his doctor.

The 30-year old experienced full cardiac arrest at his residence in Newport and was taken to a local hospital where he was resuscitated in the emergency room. Del Rosario's condition remained critical after having his blood pressure and heart rate stabilized. The fateful decision that would dictate if this UFC fighter dies will be finalized on Friday. It was his roommate, UFC flyweight Ian McCall, who found del Rosario and called 911. McCall administered CPR before the Shane was brought to the hospital.

Before coming into the UFC, del Rosario honed his talent on Strikeforce where he was undefeated. He won against Brandon Cash, Lolohea Mahe and Lavar Johnson before a herniated disc from a car accident prevented him from any further fights. Del Rosario was then announced to join UFC in 2012 and since then has lost the only two fights he's fought He withdrew from two other fights slated on July 16 and December 28 of this year due to other injuries. Now that it seems that the possibility that this UFC fighter dies within the next few days will permanently end his short-lived career.
