Amidst rumors swirling about their imminent divorce, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon share photos of their Thanksgiving with their kids. Undeterred by vicious gossip claiming the pair is already broken up, Carey and Cannon show the world that they are closer than ever in the fun family photos.
The 40-odd-year-old singer can be seen sitting quite comfortably with her family via her Instagram account. Their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, are decked out in purple outfits matched by mom and dad. Carey even mentions that their daughter, Monroe, picked out the day's color.
Rumors of the Mariah Carey - Nick Cannon split began when the singer went on a radio show and spilled the beans about their living arrangements. Cannon lives in Los Angeles while Mariah Carey is currently residing in New York. The fact that they spend most of their time on opposite ends of the US may send up red flags for their relationship right away. She then continues by berating her husband's choice of stand-up material. Carey believes that there are some parts of a couple's relationship that should not be shared with the public and certainly not used for a punchline.
More fuel to the fire was added by Star magazine, printing a story on the couple's alleged break-up. The tabloid speculates that being on either end of the US may be putting a strain on their marriage. Star also insinuates that the stress of working on an album may be pulling the two apart even further, accusing Cannon of not supporting his wife's career endeavors. While the magazine is insisting that the marriage is past the point of saving, a rep for Mariah Carey is quick to dismiss the rumors.
Indeed, the snaps of the family together clearly show that their marriage is going strong and that any issues are being dealt with properly.
