Super Model Turned Playmate: Kate Moss Lands 60th Anniversary Playboy Cover Shoot, Poses Topless

British supermodel, Kate Moss can now add "Playmate" under her modeling belt. This Playboy issue celebrates its colorful 60th anniversary and also happens to be a life milestone for Moss who turns 40 on Jan. 16.

Photographed by international photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, the former Guess supermodel dons the iconic bunny ears matched with a bustier. Some of the photos of the editorial spread has Kate Moss just wearing her birthday suit, topless and covered in cloth.

The artistic direction of the shoot aimed to have the photos look classy and timeless than the usual risqué pictures. Known for her famous cheekbones and slender figure, Kate Moss is believed to be a refreshing change on the cover that typically casts bustier models.

According to the Daily Mail, the spread will have 18 pages for the first 2014 issue of the magazine. In the issue Kate talks about her rise to fame after being spotted by a talent scout at the age 14. Had it not been for the opportunity, Moss believes she would be 'working in a bar in Croydon'.

Kate will be at Marc Jacob's Mount Street Store in London, Monday, to promote the magazine issue.

The equally famous Playboy founder Hugh Hefner said that the magazine's intent is to 'reflect on and influence cultural changes taking place in America'. The Playboy editor-in-chief who is known for his various relationships with other Playmates has always been criticized for demeaning women, he acknowledges the star power of the fashion icon to cross boundaries of 'sexual imagery to upscale modeling in the industry.

The 60th anniversary Playboy edition also features interview with Ben Affleck, Naomi Wolf and Erica Jong.
