One of People Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive is officially off the market. Christian Slater has tied the knot with this girlfriend of three years, Brittany Lopez.
The 44-year-old actor took Lopez to a courthouse in Coral Gables, Florida where they held an impromptu wedding ceremony. Christian Slater shares how he and his new missus first met in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Slater recalls lounging in a resort in Miami when he witnesses what he thought was a lesbian engagement. Christian Slater shares seeing two women, one of which was Lopez, walking along the romantic spot. Lopez apparently got on one knee in front of an older woman and looked to be proposing. Slater, thinking that he just saw the two engaged, came over to congratulate the couple. It turned out, Lopez was just having fun with her aunt and acknowledging the romantic scenery. Christian then gets to talking with Lopez and the rest is history.
The couple joins other celebrities who thought 2013 was a good year to get hitched. Actress Megan Hilty married actor Brian Gallagher in a Venetian chapel in Las Vegas in September. Christina Ricci and James Heerdegen said their I do's last October at the Harold Pratt House & Peterson Hall. Another October bride, Kelly Clarkson married fiance Brandon Blackstock in Tennessee. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard had their long overdue ceremony after marriage equality was established in the United States. The couple also had a spontaneous wedding, opting for the Beverly Hills County Clerk's Office as their venue.
Christian Slater was recently dubbed one of People Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive. He's in good company appearing in the magazine alongside David Beckham, Idris Elba, Jimmy Fallon and Adam Levine. Slater shares that being named in the magazine as one of the Sexiest Men Alive earned him bonus points with his fiancé.
