Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kandi Burruss is having a terrible time planning for her wedding. In a time that most women consider to be the most stressful time of their lives, Kandi Burrus is not just stressed-she is stretched thin between her mother and her groom, Todd Tucker.
The singer said that most of the troubles started from a comment from talk show host, Wendy Williams, when she started commenting about their reality show. "I can tell you when it started. Last year when Wendy Williams was commenting on our show every week and she was like, '[Todd's] an opportunist. I think he's an opportunist.' Next thing I know, my momma comes back and is like, 'Wendy said that he was an opportunist,'" Kandi Burruss speaks about it on the show.
She also laments the fact that she might not even have a wedding at all as her mother might not come. Or worse, she'll come and be negative on a day that is supposed to be celebrating love, of all things!
So far, the worst confrontation was when Kandi Burruss went dress shopping with her mom and her assistant, Carmon. Mama Joyce, as she is called on the show, wasted no time in implying that Carmon was sleeping with Tucker. The conflict started with a few mean looks and words thrown around but ultimately peaked when Mama Joyce got ready to beat her down with a shoe. The altercation was promptly stopped but the tension was still palpable in the air.
Regardless of her mother's feelings though, Kandi Burruss has made it clear that her wedding must go on. And who knows? Maybe a breakthrough will happen on the next episode when co-star NeNe Leakes takes the girls to Savannah, Ga.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Bravo.
