Two Died and Two Others Injured at Renown Regional Medical Center Shooting [VIDEO & REPORT]

Two people were killed and another two were injured during a shooting on Tuesday, December 17, at a medical building near the Renown Regional Medical Center, according to a CNN report.

According Tom Robinson of the Reno, Nevada, Police Department, the two other people who were injured were in critical condition.

The gunman opened fire at the third floor of the Nevada Advanced Medicine building, injured two people, before the gunman tool his life with his own weapon in the process.

"We are still in the middle of processing the crime scene, and we don't want to compromise it by just rushing up to try to identify who the deceased people are," Robinson told reporters during a press statement.

Robinson told the Chicago Tribune that the bodies of the gunman and victims were found on the third floor of the medical building after police have conducted a room-to-room sweep of the building's interior.

Kat Raco, an ophthalmic technician, told CNN that she was working at the second floor of the medical building when she heard two shots and the sound of people running above her. Raco said that she and some people were in her office when the shooting occurred.

"The police handled it in the best way possible," Raco told CNN. "They were very professional and calm. Everyone (in the office) stayed pretty calm."

Raco added that the police were very professional when they handled the situation. She even said the people in her office stayed calm during the entire incident.

Reports of the shooting incident appeared around 2 p.m. on Tuesday after officials from the medical center and the University of Nevada-Reno Police services turned to their social media accounts to share details of the incident to the public, according to a report of the Los Angeles Times.

According to the LA Times, accounts were updated with information regarding how many were injured or how many died during the shooting.
