Top 3 Best Companies To Work For in 2014 [VIDEO & REPORT]

If you're looking for the best companies to work for next year, Glassdoor, a free jobs and career online community, has recently released its list of best companies to work for in 2014, according to Forbes magazine.

Unlike other award-giving bodies or for top businesses in which companies self-nominate, Glassdor's annual Employee's Choice Awards uses an anonymous survey of employees to provide feedback about the companies they work for.

Glassdoor surveyed around half-million employees who responded to an 18-question survey between November 14, 2012 and November 12, 2013. The survey includes questions about overall employee satisfaction rate, compensation, benefits, career growth and opportunities, senior management, work-life balance, company culture and values, reports Forbes.

In an interview, Samantha Zupan, Glassdoor's spokesperson, said that deciding where to go to work is one of the most stressful decisions anyone could make. She said that it's only natural for people to learn more in order for them to make better career decisions.

"Being recognized by employees as a 'Best Place to Work' is no small achievement," says Zupan. "The companies on our list are being honored as it's a reflection of their commitment to employees to create a positive and enjoyable workplace."

Zupan adds that Glassdoor's Employees' Choice Awards could help job seekers information they need to know something about companies they're interested in.

"Finding a job you love is tough work but with feedback from people on the inside, it can make the job search process easier," Zupan explains. "In addition, insights into what makes the winners 'employers of choice' can offer HR and recruiting professionals at any company valuable perspective on what works when it comes to fostering a great company culture."

Here are the top 3 companies based on the employees' survey Glassdoor conducted:
