Brittany Murphy's Death Anniversary Draws Costars Alicia Silverstone, Donald Faison To Reminisce Highlights of 'Clueless' Days

Brittany Murphy, who played the lovable Tai in "Clueless", passed away four years ago today.

Despite recent rumors and reports claiming that the actress's death may have been caused by poisoning, Murphy's former "classmates" and costars have recently shared their thoughts on the loss of a close friend in an NYMag.com interview.

In the middle of recalling the memorable wild house party scene in the 1995 iconic film, Alicia Silverstone, Breckin Meyer and Donald Faison remembered Brittany Murphy's "spark" and acting talent. The four had become close friends while filming the Amy Heckerling-directed movie.

"I love when Brittany Murphy does her little 'rollin' with the homies.' It's so sweet. She was so special for that role and just adorable and lovely and brilliant," shared 37-year-old Alicia Silverstone, 37 in the Vulture interview. "It's so weird to think she's not around anymore. It seems very abstract."

In the movie, Murphy played Tai, the new girl in their high school with questionable fashion choices who best friends and partners in crime Cher (Silverstone) and Dionne (Stacey Dash) adopt and take under their wing. During one scene in the film, the three high schoolers attend a wild drinking party in the Valley where Murphy's character sings and dances to Coolio's "Rolling' With The Homies" after being accidentally hit with a clog.

39-year-old Faison shared during the interview that Brittany Murphy had a indescribable "spark" in her and that he believes everybody still remembers that 90's song because was very cute singing it and that she had an unexpectedly good singing voice. Faison continued to express his amazement at Murphy's charm and talent, emphasizing that her "spark" was what continued pulling her towards the road of success in her career.

Meyer, who played Murphy's love interest in "Clueless" Travis, called her "amazing." He told reporters that Murphy had been nothing but sweet and so much funto hang out with."

Decker, 39, also confessed that while he was supposed to give Murphy's character a kiss in the wedding scene, he did not go all the way and instead settled for a peck on the forehead. Murphy had become as close as a sibling to him by the time.

Murphy died suddenly on December 20, 2009 at the age of 33. The cause of her death continues to be an issue even to this day.
