Apple's official launching of its iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C have undeniably become a huge success. These two gadgets made it big this 2013, especially the iPhone 5S which obviously made a mark in the smartphone market history with its sales skyrocketing within the first week of its release. However, it looks like Apple has become more eager to beat its latest record through an earlier than expected release of its all-new iPhone, the iPhone 6.
If you have been an Apple fan ever since its first iPhone was released, then you'd not be all that thrilled to hear what Digitimes reported early this week. According to the site, Apple supply chain sources have already revealed to them that the company is projecting a May release this 2014. You heard it right! Not June, not July or September, but May 2014.
Although Digitimes' report seemed a bit questionable, many experts, analysts, and fans who have read the report reacted to the said news right away by sounding off their disappointment. However, Apple has remained mum about the rumor.
Meanwhile, Digitimes also reported that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company has confirmed that it will be manufacturing 20 nm processors for the all-new iPhone 6. Aside, from this, Digitimes has not spilled more beans on what is to come.
Nonetheless, multiple sources including Yahoo! and review sites already singled out that the next generation iPhone will come with a 5-inch display, a slightly bigger one compared to the current screen displays of the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C, but not as large as the current king of the phablet category, Samsung's Galaxy Note 3.
Forbes reported that with the significant increase in screen size comes the strain on iOS 7 developers who need to figure out how the apps are to be configured and re-designed again to fit the alleged 5-incher.
DisplaySearch analyst David Hsieh opined that the all-new iPhone 6 will be sporting a full HD 1080p screen, but he also said that Apple is still testing a pile of screen size panels to find the best one for its next-generation iPhone.
Additionally, the rumor mill has been very crowded lately as analysts predict that Apple will be boosting the internal memory of its next iPhone by incorporating a massive 128GB memory.
There is also another speculation that Apple will be keeping its fingerprint sensor from now on, so fans can expect to see the same technology in the home button of the iPhone 6.
As per the processor of the handset, TechRadar believes that Apple will be packing a quad-core A8 or a more improved A7 chip to its biggest iPhone yet. Furthermore, the site also theorized that the company will be engaging into the wireless charging trend by incorporating the technology to its iPhone 6.
