A 600-Person Brawl in Florida movie theater leads to the arrest of 5 teens on Christmas Eve [VIDEO + REPORT]

A 600-person brawl in a Florida movie theater parking area has led to the arrest of five teenagers on Christmas Eve, Yahoo! reported Thursday.

According to police reports the 600-person brawl was described as a "melee" that took place at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday just outside the Hollywood River City 14 movie theater in Jacksonville.

Authorities revealed that a group attempted to storm the movie theater's doors without paying. Several patrons rushed to an off-duty officer for help.

The police officer allegedly "administered pepper spray to disperse the group, locked the doors and called for backup, following protocol," Spokeswoman for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Lauri-Ellen Smith said.

Following the officer's gesture, about "600 people moving throughout a parking lot about the size of a football field began fighting, disrupting and jumping on cars," Smith added.

Multiple sources reported that at least 62 police officers responded to the scene to break up the 600-person brawl.

Only minor injuries were obtained and minor damage to property reported, according to Smith, who added that no gunshots were fired.

After which, five of the people who got arrested were reportedly charged with crimes related to fighting. Three of the five people, including one minor, were charged with felonies. Meanwhile, two other juveniles were charged with misdemeanors.

Police identified the minors as 19-year-old Tevyn Alonza Davis, 18-year-old Jaquade Marquis Miller, and 17-year-old Khalil Ahmad Bradley. Davis was charged with resisting arrest and breach of the peace. Miller was charged with fighting and resisting arrest while Bradley was charged with a felony, resisting arrest, refusal to disperse and breach of the peace.

Reports state that both Bradley and Davis "took a fighting stance" when confronted by police and when asked to leave the area after the 600-person brawl was seized.

Based on the information posted on the movie theater's website, the cinema was showing the said movies when the 600-person brawl happened: 'Tyler Perry's A Medea Christmas,' '47 Ronin,' 'Grudge Match,' 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,' among others.
