Simon Cowell Gears Up For Fatherhood, Takes Care Of Puppies To Prepare

Simon Cowell has recently taken on several efforts to prepare for his upcoming permanent gig as a father to his future son with longtime girlfriend Lauren Silverman.

During a recent vacation, the "X Factor" mogul seemed to have gotten a a little practice on becoming a good father to his baby, whom he and Silverman are expecting in February.

Simon Cowell has constantly been vocal about his lack of good parenting skills, claiming he wouldn't make a very good father to his child. After news broke out of his girlfriend's pregnancy however, Cowell might have re-thought his perspective on the idea of fatherhood.

In one of his recent vacations, Simon Cowell was photographed cradling a fan's baby and looked right at home in taking care of the adorable little boy. Witnesses claim that Cowell looked comfortable and happy around the child, a huge contrast to the entertainment company tycoon's earlier claims.

Simon Cowell, who recently wrapped up season 3 of his singing contest franchise, revealed in an interview that he bought two puppies in order to help him gear up for fatherhood.

"I bought Squiddly and Diddly as a means of preparation. I feel this real kind of protective love. God only knows what I'll be like with a baby," Cowell remarked about the two newest members of his family.

Preparing for his future son's arrival meant a whole lot more than just coddling babies on the beach and taking care of adorable puppies for Simon Cowell.

Cowell was slammed in the past after having been caught smoking around his pregnant girlfriend but the "X Factor" judge has since then put in effort to quit smoking before February.

Simon Cowell declared that he refuses to smoke around his child, adding that he's learned his lesson and he's switching to electronic cigarettes which he doesn't find half bad.

As Cowell and Silverman await their son's arrival in February, the "X Factor" mogul has one personal wish for his future son and that's for his boy to have a British accent.

Since his baby will soon be constantly surrounded by American accents, Simon Cowell hopes his child will inherit his British accent and claims that he will record his own voice and make it his baby's lullaby as he sleeps.
