Prince William To Study Agricultural Management At Cambridge In 2014

Prince Williams is gearing up for academic year 2014 after palace officials recently announced the Duke of Cambridge's plans to study Agricultural Management in Cambridge for several weeks.

Kensington Palace confirmed Monday, Dec. 30, that Prince William will be participating as a full-time student in Cambridge University's bespoke program in agricultural management, a course organized by the university's Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership.

The "executive education program" taken up by Prince William will start early in January and will conclude along the middle of March, according to an official statement released by the Palace authorities.

In the course of the program, new dad Prince William will be attending lectures, seminars and meetings with the goal of helping "provide the Duke with an understanding of contemporary issues affecting agricultural business and rural communities in the United Kingdom."

The course requires him to attend 18 to 20 hours worth of lectures every week. Prince William will also have a dorm room provided for him should Prince George's dad need to stay the night at the university for homework.

Prince William graduated with a degree in geography from St. Andrews University in 2005. His participation in this program is reportedly part of his preparation for running the Duchy of Cornwall, which he will eventually inherit from Prince Charles and will be running in the future.

Prince William was reportedly "very much looking forward to" his studies, according to a spokesman from the Palace.

"The executive education programme of seminars, lectures and meetings will draw on the strengths of academics across the university," the spokesman added.

The Duke of Cambridge is reportedly taking several options for public service into consideration and plans to do a lot of them in the future.

In September earlier this year, Prince William finished his Royal Air Force run, concluding his seven years fulltime service to the British military forces.

No other information has been disclosed regarding Prince William's educational plans.
