Eva Longoria Fumes Over False Telenovela Casting Claims, Says 'I'm Not Playing William Levy's Mother!'

Eva Longoria might be one of American television's primetime stars but she's not ready to cross over to Latin TV and take on a telenovela project.

The "Desperate Housewives" star was recently the center of several rumors claiming that she signed a contract with a foreign entertainment company and took on a three-season telenovela project where she will play the role of "Dancing With The Stars" alum, William Levy.

The television star slammed the claims via her Twitter account, denying the false report of her being cast to three Latin telenovelas by Televisa, including a role of sexy former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant William Levy.

"Longoria has signed an exclusive contract with Televisa, locking her for three telenovelas starting with Cuna de Lobos, where she will play the infamous Catalina Creel. The production finally came true after Por Derecho De Sangre, what was supposed to be the remake, proved to be a major flop after the pilot wasn't selected, but the network now hopes that with Eva on board, Cuna de Lobos will step up to the original 80's classic," claimed the false report by the Latin Times.

The fake report even included a few quotes allegedly said by Eva Longoria in an exclusive interview, along with several other unfounded claims about her "new project."

The false report seemed to have created some unnecessary for the "Devious Maids" star, as Eva Longoria responded to the claim by tweeting, "How can people make stuff up and print it? Not one word of this is true! Even has fake quotes from me!"

Although Eva Longoria does not have plans in appearing in any show aired on the network, the actress does have a few connections with the Latin station. Longoria is currently in a relationship with Latin America's biggest media company Televisa's president, Jose Antonio Baston.

The couple reportedly started going out in October 2013. A source from Art Basel in Miami shared that "they looked like such a great couple," after the two were spotted in one of their dates.

"She looks so happy and he is so madly in love with her," the source added, referring to Longoria.

The source close to the couple also shared that Baston wanted Longoria to be in the spotlight and that the Televisa president was uncomfortable being in the spotlight himself.
