Kelly Rowland rang in the New Year in high spirits as the 32-year-old singer was spotted enjoying some much needed R&R with her closest friends in a beach in Miami on Jan. 2.
On Thursday, the former Destiny's Child singer was photographed looking sexy and happy while soaking up the Miami sun in her purple bikini in celebration of 2014.
Rowland reportedly rang in the New Year in the beautiful Sunshine State, doing so by showing off her toned abs and fit arms and legs as she enjoyed the warm Miami day on the beach. The "X Factor" judge showed no hesitation in getting her bright green sheer tunic complete with zebra pattern detail to get maximum sun exposure on her flawless skin.
The 32-year-old singer kept her curly black locks loose and free and wore minimal makeup for her relaxing day at the beach.
Kelly Rowland was also photographed participating in a game on the beach, smiling happily as she showed off her beach soccer skills and had fun staying active.
The singer also spent some bonding time with her friends' children, building sandcastles and kicking around a soccer ball to keep them entertained.
Aside from the obviously fun trip to Miami, recent events in Rowland's life seem to have been the main reason for the big smile on the singer's face, as she had recently announced her engagement to Tim Witherspoon.
"He put a ring on it," Kelly Rowland confessed during her guest appearance on The Queen Latifah Show. The singer showed off the huge diamond ring Witherspoon had apparently given her when he popped the big question when talk show host Latifash insisted on seeing the ring and hearing all the details of the proposal.
Kelly Rowland also admitted that "it's been a while" since she and fiance Tim Witherspoon have always kept their relationship "very, very low" for the past several years.
No further details regarding Rowland's engagement and wedding date were disclosed.
