Audrina Patridge Speaks Out: Reality Star Says Producers Forced Her To Fake Fights With Kristin Cavallari On 'The Hills'

Audrina Patridge recently came clean on the real deal behind hit reality TV show "The Hills," confessing that producers of the show had forced her and co-star Kristin Cavallari into fights most of the time.

In a recent interview with E! News hosts Ali Fedotowsky and Giuliana Rancic, TV star Audrina Patridge admitted the most of "The Hills," especially the arguments and fights, had been faked and induced by the show's producers. Her confession confirmed fellow reality show star Kristin Cavallari's earlier statement about The Hill's fake moments.

"In the beginning, a lot of it was real. As it went on, it was very manipulated and guided and you're kinda put in these scenarios where you would show up and you didn't know what you were in for until you were there, and you wanted to run out but they lock the door on you," Patridge spilled on the news segment, even specifying one experience with Cavallari.

The star pointed out one specific example of a forced moment on The Hills which happened when she had to leave the shooting early because of another appointment.

"I actually had to leave early for another event, we were there for about three hours and they were like, 'You can't leave until you and Kristin get into a fight.' So I'm like, 'Oh my God, Kristin!' Kristin's like, 'Let's do it.' I'm like, 'OK, c'mon.' It was about Justin [Bobby] and we did it and we got to leave. So, little things like that," Audrina Patridge told the show's presenters

In the Dec. 20 episode of Bethenny, Kristin Cavallari had shared that a lot of scenes from The Hills and Laguna Beach were either semi-scripted or a complete setup.

"I faked relationships, faked fights. I don't care anymore-I can tell you. At this point, it's been so many years," the reality TV star shared in her Bethenny guest appearance.

Cavallari had been a mainstay on reality TV series Laguna Beach for two seasons aired in 2004 to 2005. She joined the cast of The Hills in the middle of its fifth season around 2009. The Hills ended after a six-season run in 2010.

"Laguna Beach, they really just manipulated situations and put us in situations that we normally wouldn't have been in, or we'd have to film something that maybe happened a month ago or hasn't happened yet-stuff like that," Audrina Patridge's former co-star admitted on Bethenny "When I decided to join The Hills, I knew exactly what I was getting into, I knew exactly the character they wanted me to be, so I said, 'Listen, I'm game. What do you want me to do?'"
