Nearly 50 bombs and four guns were found inside the vehicle of a man, who was stopped by police for speeding, MSN News reported Tuesday.
A man named Andrew Scott Boguslawski was stopped for speeding in Ohio, but police were more shocked when they searched his vehicle.
Boguslawski was reportedly stopped by the state trooper when he was going 85 mph in a 70-mph zone. When he was asked if he has any weapon with him, the man quickly responded that he had none. However, when the officer returned with a ticket he saw the handle of a gun between Boguslawksi's knees, and that's when he decided to point his service weapon to the man while calling for backup to inspect the man's car.
According to the Associated Press, authorities found out that Andrew was illegally carrying with him four guns and 48 explosives. Hence, the 43-year-old man was arrested late New Year's Day on Interstate 70 west of Columbus.
Documents revealed that Boguslawski was carrying two pistols, two rifles, 48 explosive devices and additional paraphernalia for possibly more explosives, The (London) Madison Press reported.
Assistant Madison County Prosecutor Nick Adkins said that alongside the bombs and firearms was a remote detonating device.
No clear motive on why the man was carrying the arsenal was identified by investigators, but he is to face a court hearing Friday in Madison County.
