Aaron Hernandez: Former New England Patriot Could Be Convicted For 2012 Boston Shooting Due To Search Warrant

Authorities have reason to believe that Aaron Hernandez, former New England Patriot, could have been inside the SUV when an unidentified gunman shot two people dead in Boston in 2012, as evidenced by a warrant discovered in Connecticut.

The search warrant does not clearly name who authorities believe gunned the two people down or define a motive in the killing of Safiro Teixeira Furtado and Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu in South End, Boston. There were no charges filed for the case.

Aaron Hernandez's lawyer declined to respond to a message asking for a comment on the issue on Wednesday.

Former New England Patriot Hernandez became a suspect in the Boston shooting shortly following his arrest in the murder of Odin Lloyd to which Hernandez has pleaded not guilty. Semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd's body was found along Aaron Hernandez's home in North Attleborouh, Mass.

While searching the Bristol, Conn. home of Aaron Hernandez's uncle back in June, authorities found the vehicle involved in the 2012 Boston shooting.

The search warrant, dated Dec. 11, had been filed in Bristol Superior Court. Officials sought the recordings of telephone conversations between Hernandez and his associate, Alexander Bradley while Bradley had been locked up in a Hartford jail in October for missing a court appearance before the Massachusetts grand jury presiding over the case.

In a pending lawsuit filed in Florida, Hernandez's associate claimed the former football star shot him in the face after the pair got into a fight outside a club in Miami around February 2013.

The warrant indicates some of the early details of Aaron Hernandez's reported link to the 2012 shooting in Boston.

Security camera recordings showed Bradley and Hernandez entering the Boston nightclub "Cure" around 12:30 in the morning on July 16, 2012, just a few minutes after the victims of the shooting went into the club, claimed the warrant.

The surveillance camera also showed Hernandez leaving the club with Bradly after just 10 minutes and then exiting a parking garage in a Toyota 4Runner SUV with Bradley sitting in the passenger seat.

The recordings also showed the two victims leaving the nightclub around 2:10 in the morning, and Aaron Hernandez's SUV driving past them twice as the pair walked to a nearby parking garage to get their car, according to the search warrant.

The actual shooting was not recorded by any surveillance cameras.
