Kate Upton Photographed in Zero Gravity for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

We've already seen Kate Upton with close to zero clothes on, so it's fitting that the next Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue will give the two-time cover model an environment that fits her attire: zero gravity.

PageSix.com is reporting that it has received a tip that the volumptious supermodel was photographed wearing a bikini in "zero space" for the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Swimsuit Issue.

Sources said that Upton was photographed in a silver bikini in a specially designed zero gravity chamber. It is said that her ample breasts took on a life of their own as Upton floated through the air. Page Six's source said the model looked like "something out of Barbella" in the weightless environment.

It's possible the idea might have originated with talk show host Jimmy Fallon who interviewed Upton on his late night show after she was sent to Antartica for last year's issue. He stated at the time that after Antartica, perhaps the only place left for Upton to go was outer space.

"Think about this, there's no gravity," Fallon said.

Sports Illustrated is said to be pulling out all of the stops for the 50th anniversary issue and it's not just with Upton. A number of high profile supermodels are said to be making their return to the magazine's pages. Carol Alt, Tyra Banks, Christine Brinkley and Bar Refaeli are all said to be featured in the magazine.

No cover model has been officially announced but it would not be surprising to see Upton's outer space themed shoot put her on the front page for the third year in a row. Editors are said to still be sorting through the images in order to make a final decision. The Swimsuit Issue is due to hit newstands February 11.
