Ruslan Provodnikov Claims to Win Over Manny Pacquiao

Ruslan Provodnikov, Russian boxer, claimed to win over pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao.

Although there is still no final decision in Manny's team whom to duel in his next fight on April at Las Vegas Nevada, Russian boxer is not closing his doors for any possibilities.

Vadim Kornilov, Provodnikov manager told boxingscene.com that they might end up a fight with Pacman if not there Timothy Bradley or Juan Manuel Marquez will secure a fight.

At first, the WBO light welterweight titlist is did not consider Manny as his opponent but,he claimed to have realized the kind of business they are in.

Ruslan considered Pacman as a friend but he then realized that they can still have a fight without breaking what he considered as "friendship".

"In that fight (against Brandon Rios), Manny showed that I have a good chance," said Provodnikov.

"Although we can't really call ourselves [best friends] with Manny - we were friends - we knew each other and we were always talking when we met," he said, willing to give it Manny a good fight.

The WBO titlist had a fight with Bradley last March, where he almost knocks him down. ON the 12th round, Ruslan tried to knock him down but run out of time. The undefeated Bradley won the fight through a decision.

Then in October, he won over Mike Alvarado and has the welter weight title.

Provodnikov claimed that they only crave for big fights and that just mean that Manny is also in their list. Dangerous and well known opponents are the target of the Provodnikov's team.

Pacquiao, on the otherhand, is eyeing for Bradley or Marquez, both have their own victory over Pacman, for his next fight. Also, Floyd Mayweather is number one in his list but appeared to be least possible to happen sooner.

Both Pacquiao and Provodnikov are handled by Freddie Roach which will give a more picture of how will these two, if given the chance, will be in the ring.
