In the previous episode, Arrow season 2 episode 9, we saw Sebastian Blood (Kevin Alejandro) using the mirakuru serum to come up with an unmatched, super-powered army. He even injected the serum to Roy (Colton Haynes) for prototype testing. Then, we also found out that Slade Wilson is plotting revenge against Oliver. Apart from that we also witnessed how Barry Allen was struck by lightning and unfortunately landed on a shelf of unknown chemicals. Finally, there's the appearance of a mysterious character wearing a skull mask. In the all-new episode, we will find out some answers to all of these things and perhaps even more. For one thing, Oliver (Stephen Amell) is dying to find out who the man behind the skull mask is. On the other hand, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) may have found the perfect person to talk to when she becomes very suspicious of Sebastian; it is no other than the Green Arrow. Based on the different spoilers The CW has released for Arrow season 2 episode 10, we found out that the upcoming episode will mainly focus on the battle between Arrow & Co. and Shrapnel. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) will even discover that it's Mark Sheffer (Sean Maher) behind Shrapnel's real identity. Meanwhile, it seems that Oliver, Thea (Willa Holland) and Laurel will appear in Sebastian's "Unity Rally" in an attempt to spare everyone from the bombs Shrapnel has prepared. As for Roy, he will somehow engage into a scene that will flaunt his incredible strength, and Thea will be there to witness it. In a recent interview with TVLine, actor Stephen Amell dished that his character is "obsessed with whomever the guy in the skull mask is." He even adds, "[Oliver] is losing his mind, freaking out because mirakuru has a tie to the past for him. As we're learning, all the stuff that happened on the island and [on the freighter] was not good. It was stuff that he thought he had buried in the past. So for it to crop back up again is not a good sign," Amell explains. Spoilers revealed that things will not go smoothly for Oliver when Laurel returns, only to hit rock bottom due to drug and alcohol abuse. "Oliver's going to play a part in [that arc], but not in the way you might think," Amell said. "Oliver has always been very protective of Laurel, and her moment of clarity, so to speak, happens after an encounter with Oliver unlike one that we've ever seen on the show." Meanwhile, show executive producer Marc Guugenheim talked to Zap2It about what fans can expect when the series returns after its mid-season break. "The first half of Season 2 ended with a lot of cliffhangers, a lot of hanging chad. Barry Allen was struck by lightning, just as he was developing a flirtation with Felicity. Slade, back in the past, was injected with mirakuru, the miracle drug that turns people into sort of human weapons, while we revealed in the present that he is alive and well, and he has a vendetta against Oliver. Oliver learned that there was a force within the city that's trying to take mirakuru and raise an army with it," he said. "All of these things are sort of floating around, spinning around in a bit of a tornado as we pick up with episode 10. Our goal with this episode -- like any episode when you come back -- is to reset the players, ratchet up the tension, create a story that moves us forward. The official synopsis for Arrow season 2 episode 10 titled "Blast Radius" reads: "ARROW HUNTS DOWN SHRAPNEL - Oliver must tackle a new threat to the city when bombs start to go off in Starling City. Felicity discovers the person setting them off is Mark Sheffer, a man who goes by the nickname Shrapnel. Arrow discovers Shrapnel's next target is Sebastian Blood's "Unity Rally" and tries to talk the alderman out of hosting it, but he refuses. Arrow sets off to stop the bombing, but Shrapnel tricks him and traps him in a bomb-laced antique store where he is unable to move without setting off the device. While Felicity helps Oliver, Diggle races to the plaza to find the bomb before it goes off. Meanwhile, Roy continues to hide his new strength from Thea but, after she witnesses his super strength in action at the rally, she demands answers. Laurel's suspicions about Sebastian grow stronger once she learns that he grew up with Cyrus Gold, the man who killed Lance's partner. After Donner refuses to help her investigate, she turns to Arrow for help."
