In a recent press event, show creators Robert and Michelle King said that when the series returns on the small screen, everyone will surely love the dose of Kalinda and Cary, who are possibly turning the tables to become a couple once again. Robert revealed that a Kalinda arc is set to take its course when the show returns. "Kalinda was a little bit adrift in the first half of the year," he said. "[But] she starts exploding in the second half of the year. Her story starts crystallizing in the back half of the year."
Interestingly, Michelle teased on the possibility that Kalinda and Cary will find their way back to each other's arms again. "Can they pursue each other? Can they sleep with each other and make that exist?" she teased adding that for now Cary must re-establish the qualities that drew Kalinda to his warm embrace.
"What I liked about it is that Kalinda saw a Cary that had balls and was really attracted to that. So Cary's going to want to live up to that Kalinda idea of who he is. Cary as a character is sweet, too, but he needs to harden himself," she quipped.
