The release of Windows 8.1 in March has been highly anticipated in the tech world. That’s why as early as January, leaks from Wzor has been making its rounds in the virtual community as to what Windows has in store for us in their newest update.
From the leaked information, it’s easy to see that Windows has created a more PC-friendly experience for their users. One of the major changes in this Windows update would be the new title bar for its applications. By clicking on an icon, you can close, minimize or even align your apps side by side just like in a regular desktop application.
When you right-click the Start screen, it will display a popup menu which will give you the option to pin or unpin an app to the Taskbar. You can also uninstall an app or resize it through this function. The Start screen will also feature a search icon and a power button for easier restart, shut down or sleep mode.
From the looks of it, this Windows update does not only make it easier to use the keyboard and the mouse. It also seems like Windows will also provide their users with better time-saving features. With the current Windows 8, you will need to go through the Start screen for the apps to be launched. In addition, the new drop down menus mean that you do not have to labor through keyboard shortcuts.
Lastly, the update will give you to ability to open an app from the taskbar. By hovering on an application’s icon on the taskbar, you can already see its preview. Once you click on the app’s icon or the preview window itself, you can launch the app on your desktop.
These leaked information will give more time for users to study the new functions before it is released. Or you can patiently wait for the real deal which will come in a month’s time.
