In terms of internal features, Apple iPad Air leaves LG G Pad 8.3 in the dust with its connectivity and storage capacity. Apple iPad Air also offers video call for both 4G and wi-fi while LG's flagship tablet only has wi-fi capability. But LG G Pad 8.3 also boasts up to 64 GB storage upgrade capacity on top of its 16 GB so its not completely lagging behind iPad Air in this department.
And now we've come to the most important warring point between the two flagship devices: hardware. Apple iPad Air definitely takes the lead with Apple A7 with 64-bit architecture for its system chip. LG LG opted to imbue the G Pad 8.3 with a Snapdragon 600 heart -- a trade-off made in the interest of better battery life and less overheating. LG G Pad 8.3 makes it up however with its quad core 1700 MHz processor which is twice as fast and efficient as iPad Air's dual core 1400 MHz, Cyclone.
LG G Pad 8.3 takes the lead with its 2048 MB RAM, a decisive lead against Apple iPad Air's 1024 RAM. More memory means, more fluent, faster and flawless user experience especially when you are running games or video apps so you can be sure LG G Pad 8.3 won't break down on you if you've got a lot of apps running.
The two flagship devices are tied when it comes to camera and camcorder features, both sporting 5MP cameras and features such as back-illuminated sensor, auto focus and the like. Both camcorders also boast 1920x1080 capacity which means you can view your videos in 1080p high definition.
But while a lot reviews might tell which device to buy or not to buy, at the end of the day, it all comes right down to personal preferences. You might prefer Apple iPad Air's elegant design and impressive storage capacity over LG G Pad 8.3's topnotch processor and beautiful display.
