Top Rank Promotions announced that tickets for the highly-anticipated rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley on April 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas are now on sale.
According to a press release from Top Rank via BoxingScene, the tickets went on sale on Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET with seats for the showdown priced at $1000, $800, $600, $400, $250, and $150. One person can only purchase up to two $150-dollar tickets and up to 10 tickets for the other price points.
Pacquiao vs Bradley tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or through the official website of MGM Grand. The price of the tickets for the rematch is slightly lower than that of the first showdown in June 2012.
The upcoming showdown between Pacquiao and Bradley is expected to be filled with emotions as both fighters are looking to prove something. Pacquiao wants to prove that he is the better fighter, while Bradley is aching to get credit for his victory in their first showdown.
Bradley ran away with a controversial split-decision win to snatch the WBO welterweight title from Pacquiao during their first encounter, but the decision of the judges were vehemently questioned by fans and boxing experts.
WBO, which sanctioned that title showdown, later ruled that the decision should have gone the other way in favor of Pacquiao, but the sanctioning body did not strip Bradley off his title and ordered a rematch instead.
The 30-year-old Bradley, who is coming off impressive victories over Ruslan Provodnikov and Juan Manuel Marquez, vowed to prove his doubters wrong and silence his critics on April 12th in Las Vegas.
"This fight is basically redemption for me," Bradley said during a press conference in Los Angeles on Tuesday as reported by BoxingScene. "I know in my heart that I won the first fight. A lot of people out here don't feel I won. I didn't get any credit from that fight. I'm going to beat Manny Pacquiao to get the credit that I deserve."
Pacquiao, on the other hand, declared that he will also be extremely prepared to go toe-to-toe against the undefeated American and confidently said that the only way Bradley can defeat him is by knocking him out.
"The only way Bradley can beat me this time is to knock me out. He cannot outbox me. I will be the aggressor. I will throw a lot of punches at him," said Pacquiao.
